Mount MCU

  1. 1.IC1 (ATmega32u2)

Make sure to have correct orientation. Pin 1 is marked by the small dot on the part's surface print.

2. Check with meter that there is no short circuit between any pins (except pins 31 and 32 that are both connected to VCC).

4. C1/C2 (15p)

3. Y1 (16MHz) This part is very difficualt to hand solder, as it has bottom pins. Start with putting some solder on pad 1. Then heat this pad up and position crystal in place. Then solder remaining 3 pins.

6. C3 (1u)

  1. 7.R1/R2 (22R)
