• How do you see cardboard furniture?
• Would you like to have some? Yes, No? Why?
• Cardboard as a material for furniture is often been seen as raw and ordinary. Do you see ways to change this image?
• What other sustainable materials for furniture come to your mind?
• Remember the Repair Manifesto. Would it be more impactful to just use old furnitures…
• Gehry withdrew the Easy Edges line, after only three months on the market, and as sales peaked, he started to feel threatened. He stated that “I locked myself into a room for weeks to question my life. I decided I'm an architect, not a furniture designer. I'm not going to go that way. I called a halt.”
• The RCP2 chair was created ±30 years ago, but it is only until today that the society starts to demand products using recycled plastic. Think about your own future. What are todays aspects that are only accepted at the edge of our society but might find bigger acceptance 30 years from now? What is needed today to have your chair shown in the Vitra Design Museum?
